Designing An Alternative Treatment Plan
Designing An Alternative Treatment Plan; None Fits All
|
Each cancer patient is different, and there is no one standard alternative therapy that will fit everyone. Patients whose cancer is still in the early stages and whose general health is generally good will get the most benefit out of measures to boost the immune system, a process which can take several months. However, a terminal cancer patient who has less than a year to live or whose immune system has been weakened by chemo and radiotherapy will not have the time necessary to benefit from immune system boosters, and should concentrate on treatments that kill tumor cells directly. Dietary improvements should be implemented right away in all cancer patients. Cancers steal energy, nutrition and glucose from normal cells. At least 40% of all cancer patients die due to cachexia, malnutrition of the non-cancerous body cells. Be sure to ask your doctor or pharmacist about possible drug interactions between the alternative cancer cure and any prescription medications. Chemo and radiotherapy will interfere with treatments designed to boost the immune system, and they should not be given together. |
